Bad Decisions and Their Consequences
What happens
when we know the right thing to do and don't do it? Or we know the right
decision to make, and we do something else? What happens when we decide
to swim upstream against wise advice?
Thankfully, God cares enough about us to heal us
even after we've been rebellious, stubborn, devious and stupid. And, He
can help us start over again, if we just ask. How many times? Well, at
least 490 (70 times 7)! Whew! That gives me a few more times to try
again, halleluia!
At some point we should learn that doing
things our own way, and rejecting the advice of old fogies, results in
pain and humiliation and negativity. The hurts of life leave scars on
our souls. Healing begins when we accept responsibility and seek to
start over, the right way.
God does not love us because we deserve it, He just does.
God does not heal us because we earned it, He just does.
God does not help us start again because we are better than anyone else.. He just does.. because He does love us.
So, when we jump off the cliff of our desires, He
will pick us up after the crash, and love on us, and heal us and tell us
it is alright to try again.
